Pull request comment image broken

Hi everyone!

We have been seeing that the image on the PR comments made by GitPod are broken on all PRs. This started a few months ago. While the link in th comment still works it’s a bit weird to see the image broken always.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Visit any PR on https://github.com/freeCodeCamp/freeCodeCamp/pulls and check a comment made by GitPod.

Just to make sure this wasn’t a mis-config, we went ahead and disabled the comments in our config. But GitPod doesn’t seem to respect that either.

I am not sure if this has anything to do with the default branch naming change, we did a couple months ago. We went from master to main.

Any help with this is appreciated.

Hi @raisedadead, welcome to the Gitpod community!

Also, we’re sorry for breaking the Gitpod PR comment image on all freeCodeCamp PRs. :disappointed: There are ongoing discussions around changing/replacing how this integration works, but meanwhile, I agree that we should just fix the image instead of posting broken images everywhere.

Thus, I’ve re-opened https://github.com/gitpod-io/gitpod/issues/3235 and added it as a stretch goal for the April cycle. (If it doesn’t make it, I’ll be sure to add it to the May cycle.)

Thanks a lot for getting back to us @jan and the clarification. This is not a high-priority at all. Looking forward to updates.
