How to use an internal browser for rclone

I’m attempting to get rclone going so I can download files from my Google Drive. The sticking point is when rclone messages the browser to pull up Google and perform the authorization.

Here are the last instructions from rclone:

2021/10/10 20:50:17 NOTICE: Make sure your Redirect URL is set to "urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob" in your custom config.
2021/10/10 20:50:17 NOTICE: If your browser doesn't open automatically go to the following link: http://127.0.0.1:53682/auth?state=gy1nVvq6JXHf1u25e3a_sw
2021/10/10 20:50:17 NOTICE: Log in and authorize rclone for access
2021/10/10 20:50:17 NOTICE: Waiting for code...

The results of that is a message to the internal browser with this URL:
https://53682-amaranth-catfish-njl1nae4.ws-us18.gitpod.io/auth?state=gy1nVvq6JXHf1u25e3a_sw

And the browser displays “accounts.google.com refused to connect.”

It also doesn’t work to cmd-click on the link because that opens the browser on my desktop. I can proceed to authorize with Google but the redirect back to the caller fails (of course).

Not sure what to try next.

Any ideas?
