Fork ready-to-code badge

If I fork a ready-to-code repo, the badge in the (new) fork still points to the old repo. (I cannot confirm this right now but I think I have seen this.)

Is there a solution to this?

Not that I am aware of. The markdown of the badge uses a static link that encodes the URL of the repo. You’d have to change it manually in the fork.

What’s your use case for this?

The use case is that I prepare a ready-to-code repo that someone forks and then they want to work on their fork. They will not be able to use the badge that is in their fork. This is not a hardship, an answer might be to add a little note next to the badge that explains that it does not work in a fork.
