Executing `gp init` results in `not found` message

Trying out gitpod, I attempted to run the recommended inits

gitpod /workspace/ibcore-bom $ gp init
2021/04/16 10:53:42 not found
gitpod /workspace/ibcore-bom $

A very bare .gitpod.yml file was created

  file: .gitpod.Dockerfile

# List the ports you want to expose and what to do when they are served. See https://www.gitpod.io/docs/config-ports/
  - port: 3000
    onOpen: open-preview

# List the start up tasks. You can start them in parallel in multiple terminals. See https://www.gitpod.io/docs/config-start-tasks/
  - init: echo 'init script' # runs during prebuild
    command: echo 'start script'

Is this the expected behavior?

Hi @mykelalvis, welcome to the Gitpod community!

The not found output isn’t expected, but OTOH the .gitpod.yml is. It contains an example and comments to let you start with configuration right away.

gp init --interactive would navigate you through the configuration.

Thanks, @AlexTugarev!

I didn’t see any docs that said to use --interactive but I did use some other examples to make an init file.

I’ll see if that (possibly coupled with the image updates I’m planning) will help me resolve some of my launch concerns.

@mykelalvis, I was confirmed that this is a bug indeed.
